School Groups

For school groups from the European Union accompanied by their teachers, reservations are mandatory and free of charge, and entitle students and teachers to free admission, subject to availability.

Reservations can only be made at tickets.uffizi.it (once you have selected your museum, click on ‘School entrance tickets’) until the maximum number of school groups guaranteed (daily quota) has been reached, as set by the Director. School groups must be organised in groups of a maximum of 15 pupils, including accompanying persons (28 for the Boboli Gardens). The school groups that take part in the visits to the Pitti Palace's museums organized by the Education Department of the Uffizi Galleries can reach a maximum of 25 people (accompanying people included) in the period between 15 September and 10 June (excluding the days from 23 December to 6 January).

When the daily quota has been reached, students and teachers can enter the museums as individual visitors, according to the regular admission conditions complying with:

School groups are also are obliged to use earphones, both those in the daily maximum number of groups allowed and those entering as individuals (except for the groups assisted by the staff of the Education Department of the Uffizi Galleries). Accompanying teachers are therefore not allowed to conduct explanations without the use of earphones, and are required to supervise minors and schoolchildren. If groups are not already provided with earphones, they can rent them in the museums. In the event that teachers are not interested in providing explanations and wish to be exempt from the obligation to use earphones, they can fill out a declaration, which can be downloaded from this link or is available at the ticket office when collecting tickets. School groups interested in visiting the Boboli Gardens will be able to access them exclusively from the Annalena, Porta Romana and Forte Belvedere entrances. Entrance to the Garden from the Ammannati Courtyard of the Pitti Palace is reserved only for school groups in possession of the combined Boboli Garden + Pitti Palace ticket.
