Two-day conference on the newly restored "Adoration of the Magi" by Leonardo da Vinci

Organized by the Uffizi Galleries and the "Opificio delle Pietre Dure" of Florence, the conference will allow the conservators to present their work and the contents of their surveys on the artistic technique and the materials used by Leonardo as well as the interaction between his aims, the aesthetic purpose and the execution of the unfinished painting.

Then some reflections of art historians and conservators who have recently worked on the early Florentine period of Leonardo or works technically comparable to this wortk.

All this will allow to widen the knowledge about this piece of art especially after its recent restoration, carried out after 5 years of tough work.
