Special opening of the San Pier Scheraggio church and of the Auditorium Vasari the night of the 27th of May!
Two special events will be inaugurated the night of 27 May in order to commemorate the Georgofili massacre. San Pier Scheraggio and the Auditorium Vasari will open free to the public from 1.00 am to 2.30 am.
A video installation in San Pier Scheraggio will show what happened the night of the bomb attack and the efforts in the following years to reconstruct the damages caused by the explosion. The special exhibition in San Pier Scheraggio will be open until 3 June 2018. Free entry from 10am to 6 pm.
25 years later the Georgofili massacre, one of the most damaged masterpieces after the bomb attack is back on view after a long and difficult restoration.The Card Players by Bartolomeo Manfredi (1610-20ca) will be on display at the Auditorium Vasari until 3 June 2018 from 8.15 am to 6.50 pm. Entry with the ticket of the Uffizi.
