Lifts in the east wing of the Uffizi are not accessible
Starting March 25, 2026, the two elevators in the East Wing of the Uffizi will be back in service.
Access will be limited to the ground and second floors to facilitate visitor entry to the Gallery.
After passing through the ground-floor rooms of the East Wing, visitors can begin their tour by taking the Scalone Lorenese (recently renovated) to the second floor, or by using the two elevators located near the base of the staircase.
