Botticelli's Annunciations

Same commission, same artist but very different works.

In the Botticelli Room of the Uffizi we can admire these two masterpieces in dialogue with each other.

They are the San Martino Annunciation, a fresco from 1481, and the Cestello Annunciation, executed between 1489 and 1490.
