Maurizio Harari - Greek and Etruscan art in comparison

Lecture in Italian - Vasari Auditorium – 17th July 2019

Italian Etruscologist and scholar Maurizio Harari addresses the issue of the relationship between Greek art and Etruscan art by analysing scholarly studies from the 16th century to the present day. It is Vasari the first one to start a critical discussion on Etruscan art, which continued on with Winckelmann and then with 20th-century scholars like Bianchi Bandinelli and Pallottino.
