Blooming Boboli!

Orchidea-Orchis purpurea - Boboli

Guided tour of the wild orchids

On Saturday 20 April 2024 we are going to discover a precious biodiversity heritage in the heart of Florence.

A guided tour will lead us in search of spontaneous orchids, small and very special botanical varieties that have populated the lawns of the Boboli Gardens for centuries. The project is the result of collaboration between the Uffizi Galleries and G.I.R.O.S. (Italian Group for the Research on Spontaneous Orchids), which is carrying out the annual census of Boboli orchids.

The visit is conducted by G.I.R.O.S. volunteers. It is free of charge, included in the admission ticket to the Gardens.
