The sleeveless white figured tulle evening dress on a taffeta base has a straight neckline and slender tulle shoulder straps. The skirt is a full wheel fastened at the back with a zip reinforced with metal hooks at bust height. The dress is decorated throughout with embroidery and appliques in the shape of bugle beads, small pearl beads, sequins and irisé rhinestones. It is accompanied by its original powder pink silk bodice and a baby pink silk satin stole. This dress was shown as part of the springsummer collection in Palazzo Pitti’s Sala Bianca in 1953.
Donated by the Associazione Tornabuoni - Lineapiù, 1988
