Robe-style dress. The design has an eastern feel, with shape and floral decorations based on Japanese kimonos. Champagne-coloured silk satin with black floral design, embroidered in chain stitch, with tufts of silk thread to form the pistils of the flowers. This dress comes from the Lanvin River 2004 collection by Alber Elbaz, Israeli designer who worked for brands such as Krizia and Guy Laroche until the late1990s, before moving to the ready-to-wear collection, Saint Laurent Rive Gauche as art director. He was at the head of Lanvin from 2001 to 2015. His style embodies femininity created with silky seduction, ruches, ribbons, folds and fringes that have something of a 1920s aesthetic.
