Cultural Mediation
The Uffizi Galleries have long fostered connections among people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, reflecting both the history of the institution and the distinctive nature of its collections.
Particular attention is devoted to the development of projects that enhance cultural diversity, both within the collections and across the local community. The Galleries have established collaborative relationships with migrants, new citizens, asylum seekers, foreign resident communities, and unaccompanied foreign minors. This mutual exchange has generated new perspectives, original interpretations, and innovative pathways that enrich the cultural heritage with new layers of meaning.
Non-profit organizations and associations active in this field are invited to contact us to co-design dedicated cultural initiatives by writing to uffiziaccessibili@cultura.gov.it.
