Uffizi. Refurbishment works in the Botticelli Rooms

The greatest masterpieces by the Florentine master are on display in a nearby room

Venus, Spring, Madonna of the Magnificat, Madonna of the Pomegranate and Pallas and the Centaur are displayed in room A9.

The Botticelli rooms on the second floor of the Uffizi Galleries are closing for refurbishment work.

Botticelli’s works were moved and reinstalled in complete safety, and can already be seen again in their new, temporary location. In room A9, facing onto the Corridor with which the museum itinerary begins, visitors will encounter The Birth of Venus, Primavera, Madonna of the Magnificat, Madonna of the Pomegranate, and Pallas and the Centaur.

Once the refurbishment work is complete, Botticelli’s masterpieces, along with many other works by the Florentine master himself and paintings by his teacher Filippo Lippi, Pollaiolo and other leading 15th-century artists, will once again be on display in their new setting, still on the second floor of the Uffizi.
