Label: "PLEATS PLEASE"
Two-piece suit composed of a jumper turtleneck model with high collar and long sleeves
fitted and long skirt in pleated écru fabric, straight cut with elasticated waistband.
In 1993 Issey Miyake launched the Pleats line Please line, entirely dedicated to the
production of pleated dresses, considered by the designer to be his ‘most valuable most
valuable contribution' to design. The Pleats Please line's plissé novelty, with its clear formal
references to the Delphos Tunic by Mariano Fortuny, lies in the complex research for the
design of new yarns that guarantee economy in mass production.
Donated by Luciana Chiostri Corsi
