Palazzo pyjamas in sablé silk printed with a ‘Zadig’ design in shades of pink on a white ground. Long-sleeved jacket with a triangular hem, wide trousers. Emilio Pucci opened a workshop in Florence in 1950 and immediately took part in the fashion shows organised by Giovanni Battista Giorgini (1898-1971) in the Pitti Palace’s Sala Bianca, eventually becoming the event’s director in 1965. Of Neapolitan origin, he forged a lasting bond with the Tuscan capital, becoming a leading player in the local business community. Donated by Laudomia Pucci, 1992
