Long dress embroidered on tulle with silver and gold glass bugle beads in vertical waves and a hem adorned with topaz-coloured rhinestones.

The dress belonged to Gioia Marchi Falck. Mila Schön was one of the 20th century’s leading Italian stylists. A number of her creations were influenced by her interest in the figurative arts. She drew her inspiration for several iconic garments from the work of Lucio Fontana (1899-1968) and Alexander Calder (1898-1976). Her creations were shown at the "Cubism and Fashion" exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum in New York in 1998-1999.

Donated by Umberto Tirelli, 1986
