Long dress with superimposed silk organza ruffles in twenty-one shades of grey. Maurizio Galante was acclaimed by critics as one of Italy’s most promising young stylists from the very start of his career. The New York Times called his autumn-winter 1992-93 collection “one of the most beautiful and most poetic collections ever seen in Paris”. In June 2003 he presented his first menswear collection in the Boboli Garden opposite the Pitti Palace’s Palazzina della Meridiana, do- nating the clothes on display here to the Museo della Moda e del Costume on that occasion.
