Discovering Masaccio, from the Casentino to the Via Cassia
The first written evidence pointing to the existence of a settlement dates back to the 10th/11th centuries. Initially known as Castelvecchio di Cascia, Reggello started out life as a marketplace at the junction of the Via del Casentino and the Via Cassia Vetus.
