The sculpture entitled “The boxers” is the artist’s expression of man’s
eternal conflict. The boxers are captured, however, in a moment of mutual
assistance with each helping to support the other. This pose expresses
the true depth of man’s humanity, a humanity which emerges during even
the most difficult and violent moments. The powerful statement offered
by this sculpture is enhanced by an elegant figurative style.

La vela
This
work is again an abstract detail from another sculpture. This sculpture
from which this detail whas derived has as theme a black slave slave that
sinks along with his small boat during an attempt to escape to freedom.
This escape to freedom, but also towards death, is characterised by the
flowing lines which bend upwards the heavens. Man and sail merge into
a single expression, a single message.

Gli amanti
This
sculpture entitled The lovers is one of a series of works
dedicated to the nature of man. It expresses a message of optimism since
the capacity to love is the best thing about man. The continuous oval
form allude to the concept of the egg, egg as a defence from that which
comes from outside, but also from that which is within man himself.

L'involuzione
With
this sculpture entitled The involution the artist addresses
one of the most painful and emotional situations that can be faced in
life, a separation. While the two figures leave each other like the splitting
halves of a great tree, their hands reach backwards towards each other
through their memories, and their faces transmit the desire to reunite.
Through this work the artist demonstrates how thought creates form.
