Gioachino Chiesa was born in 1937, in S.Vittoria d'Alba, Piedmont (in the province of Cuneo). A self-taught artist, he has dedicated himself completely to the art of sculpture. His work has lead to numerous expositions since the early 1960’s, both within and outside of Italy. Chiesa has produced hundreds of works (including various public monuments) many of which are found today displayed in galleries and museums. His work has been given numerous public recognitions including the title of “Knight of the Republic for Artist Merit”. He is a member of various academiesincluding the “Accademia Tiberina” of Rome, the “Accademia dei Cinquecento” and the “Accademia Tearina” of Pescara.
